We will deliver your machine to your location1, set it up and conduct on-site training1 all at no extra charge. You then receive 12 months of hotline support and UK-based warranty.

What materials are suitable for engraving?

What software are the engravers compatible with?

RDWorks v8 is supplied with each machine and is compatible with Microsoft Windows (XP, Vista, 7, 8, and 10). For use with Apple Mac computers, LightBurn software (not supplied) is compatible and able to control the laser.

What file formats work with the RDWorks software?

RDWork v8 system supports the following file formats / extensions:
  • Vector - dxf, ai, plt, dst, dsb
  • Bitmap - bmp, jpg, gif, png, mng

Is it possible to engrave pictures?

Yes, and the results can be very impressive (especially on wood in our experience)! The software will import a broad range of different formats.

What is included in the price?

  • VAT
  • Delivery to mainland Great Britain (excludes Northern Ireland, Highlands, and Islands)
  • Installation (assumes easy access, i.e. ground floor with no tight turns or narrow doorways / corridors)
  • On-site training (at time of delivery)

Is there anything else I need to buy?

The only thing you need to provide is a computer.

Our machines are provided with:
  • RDWork v8 software
  • User manual
  • Water cooling system (including the distilled water, water pump, and the water container)
  • Fume extraction system with 1m of 150mm flexible vent pipe
  • Engraving head blower system with air pump
  • Required cables and connections

What controller do the Red Dragon machines use?

Our machines are fitted with the Ruida RDC6442 controller (128Mb RAM), except for the RDL-3020 that has an M2 controller.
